And EN 856 4SH/DIN 20023 4SH 4-ply spiral hydraulic hose for very high-pressure applications and pulse cycles, and it mainly used in the oil-pressure equipment sector where medium-high pressures ranging from 250 to 420 bars for industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Steel, Forestry, and other industries.

It has nominal diameters from 3/4" to 2". It tolerates pressures from 3500 PSI to 6000 PSI. It has excellent performance in delivering petroleum-based hydraulic fluids in the working temperature of -40 °C to +100 °C. Its main difference with the 4SP hose is that the 4SH hose tolerates higher pressures.

For installing the couplings, the “skiving” operation must be performed. For better sealing, the use of multispiral fittings is recommended.

Technical characteristics of 4SH high-pressure hoses

The operating parameters of hoses in the 4SH category meet the requirements of EN ISO 1402, including indicators such as maximum pressure and abrasion resistance. In order to select a hose suitable for the working conditions, the following characteristics of the hose need to be taken into account:
Nominal channel diameter. The indicator ranges from 19 to 51 mm, depending on the model. This parameter is reflected in the marking: Hose RVD 4SH 25, 32, 38, etc.
Working pressure. RVD 4SH - Extremely high-pressure hose. Depending on the inner diameter, this number ranges from 250 to 420 atmospheres.
Burst pressure. For hoses with four spiral reinforcement layers, this number ranges from 1100 to 1680 atmospheres.
Bending radius. This type of hose hose is not highly flexible. The indicator range is from 280 to 700 mm.
