2 wire braid hydraulic hose construction: It is made of synthetic rubber lining of oil resistant, two-braid high tensile steel wire reinforcement separated by synthetic rubber layer, and synthetic rubber cover that is oil, fuel, weather and abrasion resistant.
When the single wire braid hose cannot provide a measure of safety then a second layer of wire braiding is added. And there are two reasons to consider for this: the extra wire provides for higher working pressure, and the interior braid is still protected if the hose cover has been damaged and the exterior braid may rust and fail. This is an important consideration where hoses are subject to external damage and then left out in the weather (for example the farm machinery). Double wire braid hydraulic hose is widely used in the daily life and industry because of its features of moderate price, large scope of applications and providing of a measure of safety.

Single braided hoses –
Single braided hoses are constructed with a reinforced inner hose wrapped in an outer layer of protective braiding for added durability and strength. Single-braided hoses can often be used instead of double-braided alternatives since the single layer provides enough pressure tolerance and safety. They’re also typically more lightweight than their counterparts, allowing users to reduce installation time.
Double braided hoses –
Double braided hoses are hoses with two layers of reinforcement. The first layer is a conventional hose wrapped in a second layer of high-tensile stainless steel wire braid. This double-braiding technology results in superior performance and greater pressure capacity than traditional rubber or braid-reinforced hoses, which makes them the ideal choice for demanding applications.
2 wire vs 4 wire hydraulic hose
The main difference lies in the number of steel wire reinforcement layers: 2-wire hoses have two braided layers, while 4-wire hoses have four spiral-wound layers, offering higher pressure resistance.
SINOPULSE hydraulic steel wire braided hoses are manufactured to SINOPULSE specifications as well as ISO 1436, ISO 11237, SAE J517 and EN 853 to EN 857 standards. They cover a wide range of medium and high pressure applications with petroleum-based and water-based hydraulic fluids.
SINOPULSE hydraulic steel wire braided hoses are designed with a safety factor of 4:1, covering minimum burst pressure and recommended working pressure. The working pressure [ WP ] and nominal diameter [ DN ] are always marked on the hose.
Hydraulic hose is designed for use in petroleum-based hydraulic fluid applications with a temperature range of -40°F (-40°C) to +100°C (+212°F). Special rubber compounds and other lining materials allow these limits to be exceeded. Hydraulic hoses may also be used with water-based hydraulic fluids if the operating temperature does not exceed +158°F (+70°C). In order to transport hot air, the operating temperature should be reduced to a maximum of +140°F (+60°C).
